The Catholic Diocese of Colorado Springs has a 12 step program for Gays

The Catholic Diocese of Colorado Springs is borrowing a page from Alcoholics Anonymous by launching a 12-step program that offers pastoral care and support for homosexuals.
“It’s not about therapy and not about activism,” said the Rev. Larry Brennan, diocese director of priest formation. “It’s about support.”

The Catholic Church views homosexual relations as a sin, but not homosexual thoughts. It expects those with same-sex attraction to be celibate.
“The exercise of sexuality is reserved for marriage, and that can only happen between a man and a woman,” Brennan said.

Jim Fitzgerald, executive director of Call to Action, a national progressive Catholic group headquartered in Chicago, is skeptical of Twelve Steps of Courage because he contends homosexuality isn’t sinful.
“It restricts people’s freedom to be the kind of person they were created to be,” Fitzgerald said of Courage.

But Brennan says the program is not for people comfortable with their gay lifestyle. “The people we want to reach are those who experience this as a burden,” he said.

So basically, they want to reach out to the questioning or the troubled gays to brainwash them. Very God-like guys.

Dear friends and fellow prayer warriors,


We are sending this out as a serious call to mobilize prayer. As I write this, I am praying for a spirit of wisdom and revelation to breakthrough any barrier of our hearts to receive this and act with productive clarity. As you proceed, please regard these scriptures:
o Amos 3:7 "Surely the Lord God does nothing, unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets."

o Job 33:14-18, "For God does speak-now one way, now another-though no one perceives it. In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on people as they slumber in their beds, he may speak in their ears and terrify them with warnings,to turn them from wrongdoing and keep them from pride, to preserve them from the pit, their lives from perishing by the sword."


Key Visions:
Yesterday, January 4th, I was called by a key intercessor in Santa Ynez. (Please note as you proceed, yesterday was the same day prop 8 was sent to the California Supreme Court) She reported two visions from separate individuals in the area:


A pastor of a large Nazarene Church had a dream of a very large earthquake on the central coast. He shared this at the Christmas gathering for all the Santa Maria Pastors and 5 cities area. Because of the destruction and intensity of the quake he thought he should tell the Pastors so they could pray into it.


Another intercessor in the area had a dream and saw a map of California. She noticed on the map how Pt. Conception juts out into the water. As she looked she saw an 8 with a circle beside it in the waters off Pt Conception.


Regarding these dreams the issue of 8 is significant:
Yesterday, January 4th, Prop 8 went to the California Supreme Court.
December 8th, 1787 was when the Mission near Point Conception was founded.


The earthquake the pastor sensed from the Lord would be 8.0 or larger.


Summary:
Prop 8 is a foundational covenant issue, i.e. issue of marriage, in the state. If the state supreme court does not uphold it, a covenant issue is broken with God. Judgment is looming. Also, of note yesterday it was announced on the radio and sent to me by another intercessor that in San Diego, there is a Korean war memorial. A judge has ruled that a cross that was dedicated in the 1950's, cannot be there, as it is, because it stands for the the government embracing "a religion". The implication was that it had to be "modified". She stated in her note to me, "the MOMENT I heard this I had a "sinking feeling" in my heart and said out loud in my car. God will not contend this any longer, judgment is coming."


Many are feeling the weight of this hour and time. There has been a very real assignment of death and destruction as many have faced health issues, even serious ones. We are at a critical "hinge point" and much will depend on our prayers and actions now. An earthquake from Point Conception would divide impact the state in three major fault lines and could potentially divide the state in half. We pray this stirs your hearts towards God's purposes. Our hope and trust is in Him. 

Visions? Please, these folks are charlatans, liars and thieves... But they are kinda funny though.

Gays in Africa are in Greater Danger than ever

This is just horrible to hear. In Africa, the attacks and ridicule of Gays is growing way too fast.

The growing tide of homophobia comes at a time when gays in Africa are expressing themselves more openly, prompting greater media attention and debates about homosexuality. The rapid growth of Islam and evangelical forms of Christianity, both espousing conservative views on family values and marriage, have persuaded many Africans that homosexuality should not be tolerated in their societies. 

"It has never been harder for gays and lesbians on the continent," said Monica Mbaru, Africa coordinator for the International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission, based in Cape Town. "Homophobia is on the rise." 

Fearing for their lives, many activists are in hiding or have fled their countries.
In Uganda, a bill introduced in parliament last year would impose the death penalty for repeated same-sex relations and life imprisonment for other homosexual acts. Local newspapers are outing gays, potentially inciting the public to attack them, activists say. 

A day after a newspaper article said that gays should be hanged, Sheila Hope Mugisha became a target. As the prominent gay rights activist neared her home, she said, boys from the neighborhood threw stones at the gate and chanted, "You are a homo." Mugisha ran inside and locked the door. She didn't leave for several days.

Religion is the driving force of this bigotry and horror. When the use of God is power behind hate and disarray, then it's no longer Christianity. It is cult-like and denounces everything that God supposed to be. True believers should not let this happen. It is a disgrace to humanity.

The $24.5 million project will be constructed by the same team that built the Creation Museum.The religious ministry is soliciting online donations to help construct the project, which they expect to draw an estimated 1.6 million visitors per year.

Ken Ham, president and CEO of Answers In Genesis, cites poll data showing that an estimated 63 percent of Americans would visit a full-scale replica of Noah's Ark if one were built in the U.S."We see a full-scale, wooden ark as something so significant that it will shake up this nation," Ham said. "It would be a clear reminder to America about the truths of the Bible.

'Ugly Betty' Actor killed his mother because he believed she had a Demon in her

This is very creepy and really sad. Actor Michael Brea murdered his mother due to the belief that something evil lived in her.

An unhinged actor Thursday calmly described hacking his beloved mother to death with a sword because he believed a demon had taken hold of her soul.

"I didn't kill her. I killed the demon inside her," Michael Brea said in a chilling hourlong interview with the Daily News in the prison ward at Bellevue Hospital.

When told his mother, Yannick Brea, 55, had died in the grisly assault early Tuesday, Michael was unrepentant.

"So be it. It was the work of God," he said.

He said that hear voices, telling him that he had to kill the demon. 

Later he stood above his mother, asking her if she believed in God, then he started hacking at her.

"I just kept cutting her. No one could stop me. I was doing the work of God," he said.

He is  being evaluated at Bellevue Hospital.
