St Kilda hairdressers go the chop for cancer
Jackie Yong and Anton Triantafyllidis were among 125,000 Australians parting with their locks to raise money for the Leukaemia Foundation.
But far from dreading the chop, Anton said he was ready to get rid of excess hair.
Hairdresser Jackie Yong said she just wanted to raise money for a good cause after family members had died of cancer.
More than 2500 Victorians are diagnosed with blood cancers each year, with an Australian life lost every two hours. The World’s Greatest Shave was on March 10-12.
